General Information
- Your event can be held on any day of the week and at any time of day subject to prior arrangement.
- Any Sunday falling on a bank holiday weekend is charged at the Saturday tariff; any Monday that is a Bank holiday is charged at the Sunday rate.
- There is a 20% non-refundable deposit on any booking, with a further payment due 12 weeks later (unless your wedding date is more imminent).
- Final payment and confirmation of your arrangements are required two months before the event is held (or sooner if your wedding date is more imminent).
- The tariff gives you exclusive use of the entire house and grounds for the Marriage ceremony and reception from midday until 10:30am the following day.
- You will be given your own wedding coordinator to help coordinate your day. Wedding Planning services are available for an additional fee.
- There will be seasonal floral decorations throughout the house.
Capacity
Halswell can seat up to 90 seated guests for dining in the format agreed. For weddings larger than 90 guests numbers can be increased by utilizing two adjacent linked rooms. These can accommodate a further 40 seated guests each bringing the maximum capacity to 170 guests.
12 suites and bedrooms are included. Additional bedrooms are available if required from £150.00 per night or self contained cottages within the grounds of Halswell Park. The house accommodates up to 56 guests, booking between 12 and 25 rooms. An additional 32 guests can be accommodated in the Halswell Cottages by special arrangement. For large gatherings you can utilising a wedding pavilion by the lake for dining for an additional charge.
Civil Marriage Ceremonies
Civil marriage ceremonies can be held in the Morning Room which seats 60 guests or the Ball Room which seats up to 120 guests (from March 2007).
